Aujourd’hui, Mme Dutton habite à quelques kilomètres de Charlottetown, à l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard. L’Armée du Salut est très présente dans cette collectivité. Elle offre des services comme une banque alimentaire, une halte-accueil et un programme de petits-déjeuners.
« Je suis fort impressionnée par le désir de l’Armée du Salut d’aider les autres », précise Mme Dutton.
« Si vous envisagez de faire un don à l’Armée du Salut, plusieurs options s’offrent à vous, dont le don assorti d’une rente, qui aidera les plus démunis, tout en vous permettant de profiter d’un revenu, indique Lois Flemming, directrice des dons importants et des dons testamentaires pour l’Armée du Salut. »
« L’Armée du Salut est l’un des plus importants fournisseurs de services sociaux au Canada, après le gouvernement. Sans l’appui du public, nos actions n’auraient pas une aussi grande portée », ajoute Lois.
