Grâce au travail des bénévoles, l’Armée du Salut de Kingston aide annuellement plus de 3000 personnes à remplir leur déclaration de revenus, et ce, depuis 1975.

« Je crois que sans ce service, un grand nombre de personnes démunies ne rempliraient pas leur déclaration de revenus, dit Bonita. Ce faisant, elles ne bénéficieraient pas de certains avantages et se priveraient d’outils qui les aideraient à mieux subvenir à leurs besoins. »

En plus d’être présents dans les postes, les bénévoles de l’Armée du Salut vont dans les maisons de retraite seconder les personnes à mobilité réduite ou au domicile de personnes ayant une déficience auditive. »
